A child is the future of nation. In weaker sections of society such as Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/ Other backward Classes and minorities, those leaving in rural areas, children do not get access to basic education, they suffer from malnutrition, child abuse, exploited by their parents for family earning. This restricts or damages a child’s physical, emotional, intellectual, social and/or spiritual growth. Increase in number of child labor is another problem of our nation. Our NGO ensures overall development of a child by providing it formal and basic education, training in several vocational courses to the older children, by providing them necessary nutrition needed for their development and basic health facilities.
Under our child development programme we include:
1.Child education: In several places where government school system has failed or is non-feasible, we will start primary education centers to provide basic literary skills. We will provide support structures to children such as by providing tuitions, school fees, uniforms and moral support, to ensure children do not drop out of schools due to lack of resources at home. We will provide training in vocational courses as crafts, book binding, electronics etc to the older children. These children would otherwise have to turn to more desperate measures for a livelihood. . We will also provide free of cost coaching to children who want to study further and do higher studies. Their parents will be given support in getting study loans for their child’s further studies. Thus we will make it sure that growth of these underprivileged children do not get hampered in either ways.
2.Child labor rehabilitation: An increase in number of child labor further impounds the child development. We will employ following ways to rehabilitate a child labor:
3.We will provide them free primary education.
4.Most of the child laborers come from poor families which have very limited source of income thus forcing their children to earn for their families. We will provide them employment facilities.
5.Older children will be encouraged to join income generation courses such as diary, tailoring, craft, painting, and drawing, electronics, computer courses, type writing etc. These children would otherwise discontinue their education.
6.By social awareness and activism. We will campaign for child labor rehabilitation and discourage general public to use products made by child laborers.
